We focus on ensuring no child has to drop out of school. Using sensitizatio a as tool and a weapon, we education abut the effects of drugs, reporting channels, alternative career and lifestyle choices that could help break the cycle of poverty in underserved communitties.

WACANDA is an acronym for War Against Child Abuse and Drug Abuse. A signatire program of Menitos Charity Fundation, we use a multi pronged approach to ensure children anad their families are equiped gainst social vices and a future to dream of.
Child Abuse and Drug Abuse are a major factor in the rate of crimes and social decadence around us. No one has ever had the ambition of become a drug addict and no parent has ever set a goal of abusing their children. So how did these issues become so prevalent?
The reason is simply illiteracy.
Illiteracy here does not talk about your academic qualification, but your knowledge about drugs and abuse. Many of us grew up knowing Drug Abuse is bad, but do we understand what we mean by drugs? We understand that abuse is morally and ethically wrong but do we really understand abuse especially as it concerns a child.
The tendency to chalk everything into discipline and indiscipline has prevented us from aligning with children's point of view and understanding their values
The misconception that children should be heard and not seen has been so entrenched that even when a child seeks our help, we normalize their initial contact with peddlers and predators.
We only start shouting when they start to exhibit trauma and addiction signs. Even then, our response is often to scold and isolate.
This culture has giving birth to a community of youths who find comfort in each other and their vices.
That is why WACANDA focuses not just on sensitization but treatment and rehabilitation of children already exposed to drugs and abuse in any form.
For every victim of Drugs or Abuse, there is a backstory of not necessarily a negligent parent but often an ignorant one.
